Offering a beautifully restored accommodation in Languedoc, Montfaucon is an intimate private hotel located in the town of Limoux also specializing in expertly hosted tours that bring to life the arts, culture, cuisine, and activities that are so abundant in the Languedoc and Carcassonne regions.

Our private hotel is located in the Pyrenees foothills of Southern France. We are about twenty minutes from Carcassonne and a little over an hour from the Toulouse airport.

Our Languedoc accommodation includes five elegant, spacious, and well appointed rooms. Each of our rooms is tastefully decorated in 19th century style and provides the maximum in comfort and space.

Arts in Languedoc - Reserving our hotel exclusively for the tour group, Montfaucon offers the highest value painter's retreats anywhere in France. Some are groups of experienced artists, and others have a teacher. Programs can suit any individual artist

Culinary Week - For groups of friends, we arrange a special week of hands-on cooking lessons, demonstrations, sight-seeing, wine tasting, tasty delicacies and specialty wines of the Languedoc-Roussillon region in Southern France.

Cycling Tours- Montfaucon is a Languedoc accommodation ideally situated in what we feel is the best cycling region in the world. Just steps from our front door are thousands of kilometers of quiet country roads that lead you through limitless possibilities. Whether you are a novice rider or a skilled enthusiast all of our cycling routes will take your breath away.

French Language and Culture - Montfaucon offers one-week language and cultural immersion tours. You will live, play and perfect your French while exploring the countryside, shopping in the local stores, learning the history or sipping a café au lait in the town square.

A Week in Languedoc - If you want to spend your week enjoying a broad variety of activities from all of our various programs, then this is the tour for you! You'll visit ancient castles and abbeys, walk through medieval villages and enjoy the friendliness of the surrounding agricultural community.
